after the warm bustle of the last few days
filled with friends and love and happiness
I am alone again
soft black tentacles wrap around me
pulling me back into the darkness
of unsolvable questions
such as why you are not mine anymore
and why I am still yours

I will be undone
live for nothing but truth
solitary
undeserving
remain stripped of all pretense
empty of form

in this barren place alone
can I be real

I am real.

I exist.

I hope.
